CATL Signed Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement with Shenzhen
On June 16, Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Ltd. (CATL) signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with the Shenzhen Municipal People's Government. The two parties will carry out all-round cooperation in the fields of battery swapping of new energy vehicles, electric vessels, new energy storage system, green industrial parks, financial services and trade.
Meng Fanli, party chief of Shenzhen, expressed his expectation that the two parties should take the signing of the agreement as a new start to further deepen practical cooperation, jointly cultivate and expand new momentum for the industry, and promote high-quality development.
Dr. Robin Zeng, founder and chairman of CATL, said that CATL will seize the opportunity to actively participate in the construction of the pilot demonstration area in Shenzhen, unswervingly deepen comprehensive cooperation with Shenzhen, continue to expand investment and business layout in Shenzhen, and work together with the government for win-win development.
According to the agreement, the two parties will follow the principle of "complementary advantages, win-win cooperation, and innovation demonstration" to support Shenzhen to build a world-class new energy storage industrial hub, accelerate the construction of a world-class new generation of auto city, and contribute Shenzhen's scheme and CATL's strength to the energy transformation in the new era.
