On June 22, Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL) signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with the Henan Provincial Government and the Luoyang Municipal Government.

Lou Yangsheng, secretary of the CPC Henan Provincial Committee said, as a leader in the field of new energy, CATL’s development in Henan Province highly dovetails with Henan's strong industrial relevance. The signing of the agreement will surely open a new chapter of win-win cooperation between the two parties. He hopes that CATL will leverage its advantages in technology and talent to promote the implementation and application of more new energy products, technologies and business in Henan. Henan will strengthen organization and coordination to provide enterprises with high-quality services throughout the life cycle, in order to make sure that the cooperation between the two parties will bear fruits in the near future and elevate both parties to a higher level on the new track. 

Robin Zeng, chairman of CATL said, upholding the goal of peaking carbon emissions and achieving carbon neutrality, Henan has seized opportunities and ramped up transformation and development, showing high entrepreneurial enthusiasm and great potential. Committed to providing premier solutions and services for new energy applications, CATL is willing to work with Henan to give full play to the respective advantages of the two parties and deepen cooperation in battery R&D and production, new energy ecosystem building, and the applications of new energy technologies so as to boost Henan's development. 

CATL signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with the Henan Provincial Government to jointly build a zero-carbon industrial hub. It also signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Luoyang Municipal Government to push forward the building of the new energy ecosystem.
