CATL Signs Strategic Cooperation Agreement with China Energy
On October 20, Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Ltd. (CATL) signed a strategic cooperation agreement with China Energy Investment Group Co., Ltd. (China Energy) in Beijing.
According to the Agreement, both parties will give full play to their advantages in capital, technology, talent, management, market, channel and industrial chain and deepen the cooperation in the development of new energy industry, the construction of intelligent energy, the building of energy storage technology and standard system, and the expansion of international footprint, so as to make contributions to the transformation of the global energy system.
Robin Zeng, chairman of CATL said: “With the solid foundation for cooperation, we hope to further increase communication on the technology system and application scenarios of the new energy storage, and accelerate the cooperation as agreed in the Agreement in a bid to realize the goal of peaking carbon emissions and achieving carbon neutrality.
Xiangxi Wang, chairman of China Energy said: “Energy storage plays an important role in the construction of new power system. We hope that the two parties can take this strategic cooperation as a new starting point for the cooperation in the intelligent integrated energy system that incorporate wind power, solar power, thermal power, hydro power, and power storage.”
