Recently, CATL and Xiamen Municipal People's Government signed cooperation agreements to advance the development of a zero-carbon technology city in Xiamen and deepen cooperation across the new energy value chain.

Currently, Xiamen is speeding up the development of a modern industrial system and building Xiamen into an innovation hub for the new energy industry, in accordance with the "3+1" overall framework for urban development, transformation and upgrading. CATL's development strategy is highly aligned with that of Xiamen. To date, CATL has already implemented a range of major projects in Xiamen, including Xiamen Contemporary Amperex Technology Ltd. (CATL-XM) , Xiamen Ampace Technology Limited, Contemporary Amperex Energy Service Technology Limited (CAES), Xiamen Energy Storage Validation Research Institute (ESVL), and Lochpine RMB Green Fund, covering the full value chain from investment, R&D, and manufacturing to services.

After this signing, CATL will focus on three key initiatives:
First, CATL will establish a regional manufacturing hub for high-performance automotive and energy storage lithium-ion batteries that integrates the full chain of cell, module, and battery pack manufacturing, to further expand Xiamen's new energy battery industry cluster.
Second, CATL's subsidiary AutoFlight will enhance cooperation with the Xiamen city in the low-altitude economy. The two sides will work together to build an integrated ecosystem spanning scenario-driven development, fleet scaling, infrastructure networking, and industrial clustering. On this basis, the government and the enterprise will collaborate to create a standard, regular, and large-scale urban air mobility operation network.
Third, the two parties will collaborate on cutting-edge technologies and developing high-level talents in the new energy field, to provide intellectual support for the development of Xiamen's new energy industry.
Moving forward, CATL and Xiamen will advance the development of the zero-carbon technology city in line with high standards, continuously enhance practical cooperation in areas such as R&D innovation, industrial clustering, demonstration projects and international collaboration.
