Advancing the Construction of New Zero-Carbon Infrastructure: CATL Enters Strategic Partnership with Hainan Provincial Government
On September 28th 2024, CATL entered into a strategic partnership agreement with the Hainan Provincial Government in Haikou.
Centering around the dual carbon goals and based on the integration of advantageous resources of both sides, CATL and Hainan Province will cooperate in the fields of development and the application of green energy, ESS construction and application, large-scale use of electric equipment for transportation, and planning and construction of infrastructure, for the purpose of comprehensively building a “regional zero-carbon” demonstration project while promoting such experience in future projects. In addition, both sides will actively work together to explore the opportunities for establishing the energy innovation platform, recycling and reuse of new energy batteries, interaction and cooperation between key enterprises, and setup of the new energy industry fund, in a bid to boost Hainan’s endeavor in building a globally-influential model for carbon peaking and carbon neutrality.
As one of provinces with the best environmental quality in China, Hainan is advancing its ecological development in an all-round way and vying for the excellence in achieving its dual carbon goals. CATL is willing to do its part towards accelerating the construction of a “zero-carbon island” in Hainan by offering a complete range of zero-carbon solutions based on its innovative advantages in products, technologies and services.
