On September 14th 2024, a signing ceremony for the strategic partnership agreement between CATL and Shandong Heavy Industry Group was held in Ningde, Fujian. 

According to the agreement, the two sides will carry out proper exploration and pragmatic cooperation in battery supply, product development, industrial ecosystem building, and development of new business models for such products as heavy-duty trucks, construction machineries, buses, delivery vehicles and forklifts. 

As a globally-influential transnational group specializing in industrial equipment, Shandong Heavy Industry Group boasts many brands well known at home and abroad, including SINOTRUK, SHACMAN, Weichai Lovol, Shantui, Zhongtong Bus, and Kion Group. In addition to ranking first in the world for its sales of heavy-duty engines, heavy-duty transmission, and heavy-duty trucks, it is engaged in diverse business areas, including but not limited to powertrain, commercial vehicles, agricultural equipment, construction machinery, intelligent logistics, marine transportation equipment.
