On August 14, a global launch event for the Zero-Mile light trucks, the newest commercial vehicle series from Chery Automobile, was held in Ningde, southeast China’s Fujian Province. The event also saw the signing of a strategic partnership agreement between Chery Commercial Vehicles and CATL. 

Positioned as "premium 4.2-meter electric light trucks supported by zero-distance services," the Zero-Mile series represented Chery's first foray into the electric light truck segment. It focused on addressing the needs of industry users seeking efficient short- and medium-distance, as well as inter-city transportation solutions. The event garnered orders for 4,500 units on-site. 

According to Li Jie, Deputy General Manager of Karry EVs and General Manager of Chery's Light Truck Division, products are the cornerstone of Chery's Zero-Mile brand, and Zero-Mile light trucks will be powered exclusively by CATL batteries. Chery plans to launch 3.0 Zero-Meter variants in the next three years while developing 4.0 versions. All models will be equipped with CATL's Tianxing L-Supercharge and Tianxing L-Long Range batteries, offering users a seamless blend of rapid charging and extended range capabilities. 

Since 2013, CATL has been a dedicated player in the commercial vehicle power battery sphere, building a solid foundation of practical experience and technological prowess. The strategic partnership with Chery Zero-Mile marks CATL's commitment to further expanding the application of electric commercial vehicles and fueling the logistics industry's green transformation through continuous product innovation.
