Yichang BRUNP-CATL Project Kicks off
On September 27, the Yichang BRUNP-CATL Project and the trial production of the BRUNP Recycling Project officially kicked off in Yichang, Central China's Hubei Province.
Located in Yichang Hi-tech Industry Development Zone, the CATL-BRUNP Integrated New Energy Industry Park includes three projects: BRUNP-CATL, BRUNP Recycling and BRUNP Yihua. With a total investment of 32 billion yuan, the park integrates phosphate ores, raw materials, precursors, cathode materials, battery recycling and other key links, docking industrial chains in the full life cycle of batteries.
Once completed, the park will be able to produce cathode materials for more than 4 million new energy vehicles at its full capacity. The commencement of the Yichang BRUNP-CATL Project will effectively increase the supply capacities of upstream materials, strengthen the resilience of the supply chain, and further enhance the resource supply capabilities of CATL.
