On July 11, Contemporary Amperex Energy Service Technology Ltd. (CAES) signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Shenzhen’s Longgang District. The two parties will deepen cooperation in the new energy industry and jointly seize opportunities for the green and low-carbon development. 

With a sound industrial foundation and environment, Longgang District is an important hub and fairground for the new energy industry in Shenzhen.

Wang Cefei, deputy party chief and mayor of Longgang District, expressed his expectation that the two parties will take the signing of the agreement as an opportunity to further deepen the mutually beneficial cooperation in the new energy industry, achieve win-win development, and jointly seize the major opportunities for green and low-carbon development. He also said that Longgang District will provide various services to create a good environment for the development of enterprises.

Wang Hongbo, chief investment officer of CATL, said that the two parties will carry out comprehensive cooperation in the fields of battery swapping, energy storage, green parks and funds, and achieve common progress and development through the sharing, coordination, integration and complementarity of respective superior resources.

Adhering to the principle of "complementary advantages, innovative breakthroughs, collaborative promotion, and win-win cooperation," the two parties will closely follow the policy of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality, explore the path of low-carbon transformation in the industrial zone so as to build Longgang into a carbon neutral model of city-industry integration.
